We are really excited about our new pay-as-you-go 0-4's class starting at Farmyard Funworld in Bushey from February 7th 2018 10-10:40am. They have a huge 3 storey soft play and some lovely animals too!

Winter camp at Belmont Farm was brilliant and the children loved all 5 days of drama, music, dance and farm fun! 

September 2017

We've had 7 wonderful parties this month and some great feedback from parents. Check out the testimonials page to see some lovely reviews. Looking forward to more parties in October. We get booked up 2-3 months in advance so make sure you get in touch with plenty of time if you'd like to secure your party date.

August 2017

Our Summer camp at Belmont Children's Farm in Mill Hill was fantastic! Across the 9 days, 72 children joined us and everyone had a brilliant time with us. Feedback from parents was extremely positive and several people booked extra days. The farm staff went all out and we had some interesting lessons about the animals and fun egg hunt on one of the days.

We are hoping to have a winter camp this year but it depends on the farm as they are looking to do some renovations. Watch this space!

EASTER CAMP AT BELMONT CHILDREN'S FARM, MILL HILL NW7 3RD-5TH APRIL 2017 - 10am-3pm

We had a fabulous Easter camp with 22 children joining in the fun over the course of the three days.  Camp was a combination of drama, music, dance, art and farm activities. We fed the animals, met the lambs, alpacas, bunnies and chicks and petted the animals during our special private petting session. In art we made some amazing magic bunnies/sheep magnets, pop-up foam bunnies and Easter bookmarks. In drama, music and dance we loved playing different Easter characters, giggling at the 'Banana silly language game', playing our egg instruments with Milo the monkey and of course singing lots of lovely songs and showing off our best dance moves during our mini-disco each day.

NEW classes at Monkey Puzzle Nursery in East Finchley  

We are now running classes at Monkey Puzzle Nursery on Thursday afternoons with the babies and tweenies rooms. Everyone has been so welcoming and the children are loving Roo and the classes.

December 2016 

WINTER CAMP AT BELMONT CHILDREN'S FARM, MILL HILL NW7 21ST-23RD DECEMBER - 10am-3pm

We had a fabulous winter camp with 27 children joining in the fun over the course of the three days.  Camp was a combination of drama, music, dance, art and farm activities. We fed the animals, met the reindeer, walked the sheep, petted the animals during our special private petting session. In art we made some amazing magic snowmen, finger puppets, foam penguins with winter jumpers and winter character masks. In drama, music and dance we loved playing different winter characters, giggling at the 'Banana silly language game', playing our bells with Milo the monkey and of course singing jingle bells and showing off our best dance moves during our mini-disco each day. It look like the next camp will be the first week of the Easter holidays, dates to be confirmed soon.

September 2016

NEW classes at Magic Nurseries in Finchley, Whetstone & Muswell Hill 

We are now running classes at all three Magic nurseries in Finchley, Whetstone and Muswell Hill. The children love Roo the kangaroo and it's great to be with the different age groups in Cherubs, Neverland, Munchkins and Unicorns.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - 30th September 

We raised £250 by making a donation of £1 per child at all our classes in September, plus some extra donations from parents and cake sales. Thank you to everyone who came to a class in September! Our contribution goes towards Hendon Reform Synagogue's Macmillan Coffee Morning, which they held in memory of their caretaker John's lovely wife Norah Ruddy who recently lost her battle with cancer.

Numberjacks 5th Birthday Party

A lovely little boy requested a Numberjacks party for his 5th birthday party and although we have set themes, we are able to tailor our parties to a specific theme for a small extra cost to cover costume and research. We downloaded the Numberjacks songs and Kanga-Rooth dressed up as Numberjack 5 and lead the children on a magical adventure to solve puzzles/games and save the birthday boy's birthday cake from the grumpy puzzler. It was lots of fun and we had great feedback!

Outdoor Birthday Party at Hopskotch Nursery, Queens Park

We had our first outdoor birthday party of the Summer in the beautiful playground area at Hopskotch Nursery in Queens Park. Everyone had a ball and Roo loved the sunshine!

Class at Hendon is growing 

Our Hendon class on Wednesdays at 11am has taken longer to build up than other classes as lots of mums tend to be off work on Mondays and Fridays. However, we are delighted that we now have a lovely group of regular attendees and new people trying the class each week.

Preston Park Primary School Book Week Workshops

We were invited back by Preston Park Primary Schol in Wembley to deliver creative workshops for Reception, year 1 and year two over the course of three days. The children engaged in a range of drama activities such as warm up exercises, freeze frames, movement and role-play all about poetry in performance.

Preston Park Primary School Hansel & Gretal Workshop - Yr 2

We were delighted to be invited to run a creative workshop for year two children at Preston Park Primary School in Wembley. The children engaged in a range of drama activities such as warm up exercises, freeze frames, hotseating and story machines. Lots of fun had by all and we've been invited back for Book Week in March 

JW3 Sunday classes start Sunday 17th January  

Our fantastic Sunday morning classes at 10:15am-11:00am and 11:15am-12pm for 0-4's are a great outing for the family, especially with the Zest cafe for coffee or lunch afterwards

Lots of Party bookings coming in for 2016

Word is spreading fast about our fantastic birthday parties and we're taking bookings for March and even one for September 2016!

 

KangaRooKids is 1 year old!

Happy 1st Birthday to us and what a wonderful fun-filled year it's been! We're now offering classes 5 days a week and have party bookings most weekends. Thank you to all the children and parents for joining in the fun with Roo & her friends and here's to an even bouncier 2016!

We've entertained at 4 wonderful parties; a 1 year old's Jungle theme party, a 3 year old's Magic Garden party, a 4 year old's Fairytale Kingdom party and a 4 year old's Superhero party. Bookings already coming in as a result!

Crouch End Festival 

 

On June 14th we ran a session at the wonderful Crouch End Festival.

We had 30 children and they had a fantastic time! The festival was an amazing community event and the organisers did an incredible job.

Stationers Playgroup Spring Fair 

 

 We were delighted to be invited to entertain the kids at the Stationers Playgroup Spring Fair on May 9th. Great feedback from our session and lots of smiley children and grown ups! Our chief Roo, Ruth, also won restaurant vouchers in the raffle; bonus!!

Roo and Jo Jo have arrived! 

 

We've collected Roo and her baby Jo Jo from the Puppet Hut woohoo! We're absolutely delighted with our new KangaRooKids friends and the feedback from kids and parents has been fantastic.

New Roo Puppet in the making 

 

We have comissioned the wonderful Puppet Hut to create an original Kangaroo puppet for us, called Roo.

 

We're extremely excited about the prospect of having a unique, one off puppet with her own little Joey ready to pop up and play.

Fabulous Dragons, Knights and Princesses Party 

 

A lovely 5 year old invited us to entertain at her 5th birthday party and what fun we had!

 

Dressed as a Dragon, our party entertainer lead the children on a storytelling journey, during which they acted out characters, danced and played lots of fun games!

Tuesday mornings at Stationers Playgroup from January 13 2015 

 

We can't wait for this fantastic Tuesday morning music class, for under 5's, to start in January. The venue has a wonderful space in Crouch End and our class is just £4 per child
